T1 is a term that is used to refer to a digital carrier facility that is employed to transmit digital signals through a precise category of chartered telecommunication lines. This carrier facility is made up of 24 lines. This T1 line is able to be used for Internet access and telephone services alike. The question is who uses this type of connection?
A T1 connection is commonly used by businesses. The reason that businesses find this type of connection to be beneficial is because it is very fast and offers fast data transfer rates. With T1 it is possible to transfer hefty loads of data. Another positive aspect of this service, that makes it appealing to businesses, is that it rarely looses an internet connection.Â
Businesses across the country are using this type of connection and seeing results that really benefit their companies.

DSL, digital subscriber line, modems are pieces of equipment that are used to connect a computer to a phone line. The phone line that the modem is connected to must also be DSL. This phone line that is connected to the router is a necessity in order to receive DSL service.
DSL is the technology that transports high-bandwidth information, used to operate internet and phone services. The modem is more often than not, located on the outside of the computer. To be able to receive an internet or phone connection, the DSL modem is wired to comply with the Ethernet port.Â

A vast majority of Americans are now using broadband television to access their multimedia. Broadband TV refers to an unmanaged connection to a network, leaving the network open. This means of receiving digital technology can be a preference to satellite or cable.
This type of connection is very appealing to digital television customers because it makes it personalized.  With broadband TV the customer is able to choose what they would like to watch, when they would like to watch it, through interactive programming guides, video on demand, pay per view, and the customization of video programming. Everything concerning the programming can be adapted to the interests of the user.

In North America, most PRI services are made available through the use of T1 lines. A T1 PRI line consists of a total of 24 channels, which can be allocated to use as separate voice lines, or bandwidth. A full T1 line that is completely dedicated to bandwidth can provide up 1.54 Mbps of bandwidth.
T1 lines provide dedicated bandwidth, allowing for uninterrupted network and Internet service which in turn provides the most reliable connection commercially available. Basically, a T1 PRI data and voice line is leased by a business or individual, allowing them to receive PRI service over a reserved line. This is much more reliable than traditional “switching†methods, because it means that the bandwidth that has been leased will always be available to the leasee.

Multi-site videoconferencing continues to be a growing industry. This is due partially to increased travel costs, as well as enhanced productivity associated with less travel time. Videoconferencing is one of many applications in which equipment makers have taken advantage of the use of IP and Ethernet technologies. Using a higher bandwidth stream enables better voice and picture quality. Videoconferencing requires a symmetric stream (same amount of bandwidth incoming and outgoing). It also requires a reliable connection with low packet loss and low jitters. Ethernet Express allows videoconferencing to be cost-effectively combined with other features on your local area network.

With Cavalier Ethernet Express, data services are no longer tied to TDM increments, i.e. T1 @ 1.5Mbps. Cavalier’s easily scalable Ethernet data services are available up to 10Mbps and beyond. Businesses have flexibility to purchase Ethernet in Mbps increments suitable for their particular business requirements. Available in 3Mbps, 5Mbps, and 10Mbps, Ethernet Express also makes upgrading your business’s bandwidth easy, should you ever need to. These Ethernet upgrades do not require a truck-roll, as with other services. Bandwidth is controlled by Cavalier using simple configuration tools, making upgrading the amount of bandwidth available easy.

Cavalier’s Ethernet Express provides the best Ethernet service available on the market. One of the keys to Cavalier’s Ethernet Express stems from the system’s simplicity. Firstly, there is less hardware involved with an Ethernet connection. In most cases, only one piece of hardware is required to provide your business with fast, reliable broadband connectivity. There is no need to purchase a router, which means savings. Not only is it not necessary to purchase a router, there are less maintenance costs, for if there is no router, there is no router to maintain and service. The necessary hardware is less expensive, and easier to maintain. In addition, the less hardware involved, the less points of failure there are in your business’s network, further saving your business from future costs.
