Cavalier has invested over $215 million to make sure that our customers are receiving the highest quality, the most convenient, and the most reliable services out there. The telecommunications network is made up of fiber optic cables that transmit all of our data. The optical fibers that carry the data signals consist of optical carrier, OC, levels that are relative to the rate of the data that is being carried.
The optical carrier, OC, levels are transmitted at a speed of 155.52 mbps on a network line. Since they use the speed of 155.52 mbps they are referred to as OC-3.Â

With as much as our busy schedules require us to keep up with it’s a good thing that we have convenient technology to help us stay on top of things. Cavalier Telephone offers its customers a feature called call waiting to aid in the convenient technology aspect of their voice solutions.
Call waiting allows telephone customers to be notified if there is an incoming call while they are on the phone with another party. The party that is receiving another incoming calling will hear a beep every ten seconds until the call is answered. They are then able to press the flash button to switch to the incoming call and can use the flash button to also go back to their previous call.

Caller ID is a common feature on most of today’s phones. This service sends out a caller’s phone number to the telephone of the person that is being called while the call is ringing, before the call is answered. Many people have a caller ID built into their phone, but some use a caller ID system that is separate from the actual phone. The caller ID usually provides the number of the party that is called and the name that is correlated to that phone number.
It is extremely important to have a caller ID service. Many people would prefer not to answer sales calls and having a caller ID can help you monitor this so that you can see if the call is something that you would like to answer. Caller ID also helps to eliminate prank callers, unavailable callers, and/or private callers. When you look at your caller ID system and you see that a call of this nature is coming through, you have the choice to not answer. Caller identification is also a convenient way to be able to see who is calling you when you are near the phone, so you can decide whether or not to answer, and it allows you to see who called when you were away from the phone or not at home.
Cavalier offers caller ID to all of its customers so that they can experience its convenience.

Three way calling can be an important feature to have on your home phone. This feature can allow you to speak with two of your loved ones, in different states, at the same time or can allow you to plan a get away with more than one friend. Three way calling allows you to talk with two other people all in one phone call. This can be a convenient and time saving tool to have on any residential voice plan.
To place a three way call there are a few steps. First the person who is making the phone call dials one of the people that they plan to talk to, then presses the flash button and dials the phone number of the third party. As the phone begins to ring the person placing the call presses the flash button one more time. With this feature a person can also add a third caller to a phone call that initially starts with only two parties. Three way calling is a convenient and fun feature offered through Cavalier Telephone.
