A vast majority of Americans are now using broadband television to access their multimedia. Broadband TV refers to an unmanaged connection to a network, leaving the network open. This means of receiving digital technology can be a preference to satellite or cable.
This type of connection is very appealing to digital television customers because it makes it personalized.  With broadband TV the customer is able to choose what they would like to watch, when they would like to watch it, through interactive programming guides, video on demand, pay per view, and the customization of video programming. Everything concerning the programming can be adapted to the interests of the user.
