How to Respectfully Decline Sales Calls
There is nothing worse than being in the middle of a big meeting, an in-depth phone conversation, dinner, a nap, quality time with your family, a big project, or anything else you can think of, and to be interrupted by someone trying to sell you something. Sales calls, for the majority, can just be the worst!
Many people, when answering one of these sales calls, will either say something extremely rude to the caller or hang up in their face without saying anything. We have to remember that these sales people are just doing their jobs and we have to learn to treat them with respect. The respectful way to handle a call of this nature is to politely let the caller know that you are not interested at this time, but thank them for calling, that you are in the middle of something important and ask if they could call back at another time, or actually listen to what they have to say and possibly find out that the product or service that they are selling is something you may be interested in after all.
