Storing Numbers in Your Phone: What to Know
Though Cavalier Sales Agent isn’t a cell phone service provider, we still want you to be safe when using a cellular telephone. Though many people may think that there is nothing really un-safe about a mobile phone, there are some un-safe practices that people use with their cell phones.
Storing phone numbers in your contact list is harmless, if it is just the name of a person. If you store the names of numbers in your phone under such titles as mom, dad, home, brother, sister, work, or a pet name for your significant other it is more of a possibility for a thief to do harm to you or a loved one.
Someone who steals your phone, car, or purse could look in your phone and send a text to a loved one and get an address, social security number or bank account number.
It is a good idea to store all numbers under plain-old names and not specifics. Doing this can harm you in the long run.
