Cavalier’s VOIP E911 Services

Filed under: VoIP — admin @ 5:16 pm

Cavalier’s VoIP Voice over Broadband service is committed to safety through its E911 service. When a customer is using Cavalier’s Phonom service the customer is able to pick up the phone, dial 911, and have the call routed through one of the Class 5 voice switches and is then sent directly to the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) service.  When the operator from the PSAP service receives the call they are able to get the id of the caller including the caller’s address.  This makes it easier for the 911 operator to assist the caller and more efficient so that the caller can immediately report their 911 Emergency.

Another benefit of having this Phonom Voice over Broadband service is the fact that it is able to be transported.  The customer is able to take the equipment with them and use it just like they were at home.  If the customer reports that they are going to be traveling and informs Phonom of this, the E911 service will still be available and able to respond.
